GTBP Equity Fund Competition Beginning Jan 19, 2010 PDF Print E-mail

This is the 2nd annual competition.  The GTBP Equity Traders began competing each with $100K.  This competition is ongoing with an award of fine wine to the winner at the one year mark.  You can read a short bio and see the trading portfolio below.  Personally, as an active do-it-myself investor with a financial background, these guys have given me profitable trading ideas.

For most employed individuals and retired folks who don't have the time to do the research and watch the market all day long, you need an insightful money manager who you trust will invest based on your risk tolerance and future needs.  These are not easy people to find and generally are not your relatives and friends.  I talk weekly with two licensed financial advisors (also GTBP traders competing).  Since I only trade for my own accounts, I have referred my family and friends to these two individuals.  They are:

Roger began investing when he was 8 years-old, schooled by Tony Cilufo and others at Steinhardt, Fine, Berkowitz and Company. He's never had a job investing and he knows enough to know that one shouldn't invest with real money unless one is working on it full time; that's why he likes investing games with play money. He looks for small companies that are exciting, either because they dare to change an industry or because they are distressed.  Uluru has a host of revolutionary wound care products that may change the way we treat burns, scrapes, and bullet wounds.
